((Multipup nostalgia post is a go! If there's another pup of mine you'd like to me, please PM me, email me at catslash33 at gmail, or hit me at remindmeofthe at tumblr or Plurk. I'm also occasionally around at catslash33 on AIM.))
[Cal Chandler, The Fix,
milliways_bar flavor]
There's an adult Cal at a table toward the middle. He has raktajino and a generous sprinkling of animal fur (on his clothes, not in the mug).
[Cal, Mixed Muses continuity]
There's a twenty-year-old Cal at the Bar, pretending that being downstairs at Milliways is conducive to studying for algebra finals.
What? When he decides he wants to study for real, he'll get a room.
and
[Cal, Sunnydale AU part one] There's an eighteen-year-old Cal by the fireplace, drinking a Coke out of one of those old-fashioned glass bottles and watching the fish.
and
[Cal, Sunnydale AU part two] There's a rather paler eighteen-year-old Cal in a booth toward the back. He is also drinking out of a glass receptacle. Except it's not a bottle. And there might be a universe somewhere where the Coke is red and viscous and comes in A positive, but we doubt it.
[Cal, Sunnydale AU part three]
A blonde girl, who doesn't bear as much resemblance to her eighteen-year-old male counterparts as you would expect, is seated at the Bar. She has a thick manila folder in front of her, a cup of dark black coffee sitting untouched next to it. She's staring at the folder, taking the occasional deep breath, and failing each time to open it.
*
[Jim Moriarty, Sherlock]
He's out back by the lake. It's cold outside, which is ideal; Jim has a natural affinity for fire magic, but he feels he's explored that to its fullest, and so of course now he wants to try its opposite.
Never mind that his ice magic is a little sad right now. It might get better. And if it doesn't, that itself is information, too.
*
[James Mayer, Border Prince (Torchwood)]
Milliways is always a chance to relax, and one which James embraces with enthusiasm. Well. Unless it's his shift on security. But he has a moment, coming in, before he has to find out whether it is or not, and today he's taking that moment to have a proper curry.
*
[Sunnydale AU Bella Swan (Twilight via Luminosity)]
Milliways's timing isn't, for Bella, entirely convenient; she's already finished making her journal entry for the day, and hadn't expected much by way of additions.
She supposes, between Sunnydale and the end of the universe, that that was a bit foolish. At any rate, she has her journal in front of her, and she's sitting back in her chair, looking around. Far be it from her to reject anything new.
*
[Jason Connolly, Sunnydale AU OC]
Jason Connolly has the distinction of being one of the few people who walk into Milliways for the first time, pause to look around, and say,
"Finally."
Took you long enough, Milliways. He was starting to feel left out.
